Terms of Service

Last updated November 5, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Sea Level Lifestyle LLC (“we”, “us”), the company that owns and runs Blacktop at blacktoppilot.com. By creating an account or using Blacktop you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the trucking company you sign up. If you don't agree, don't use Blacktop.

1. What Blacktop is

Blacktop is software for owner-operators and small trucking fleets: loads and profit per mile, invoices and billing packets, factoring submissions, expenses, IFTA mileage, maintenance and compliance reminders, driver settlements, a digital paper log for ELD-exempt trucks, reports, and a voice assistant called Lug Nut. Features change over time; we may add, change or retire features.

2. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 and able to agree to these terms for your company.
  • The person who signs up is the owner of the company account. The owner decides who gets a login (drivers, dispatchers, office staff) and what they can see, and is responsible for everything done under those logins.
  • Keep passwords to yourself, turn on two-step sign-in where you can, and tell us right away at support@blacktoppilot.com if you think a login was misused.
  • Information you give us — company name, MC and USDOT numbers, contact details — must be accurate.

3. Plans, billing and payment

  • Prices are listed on our pricing section: Owner-Operator $49/month for one truck; Fleet $129/month for up to 3 trucks plus $35/month per additional truck; Logbook add-on $15/month (Fleet: plus $5/month per truck after 3). Yearly billing is 10 months' price for 12 months.
  • Your account opens once your first invoice is paid. Invoices are issued by Sea Level Lifestyle LLC through Wave and are paid in advance for each month or year.
  • If you add trucks or the Logbook, the change shows on your next invoice. If an invoice isn't paid by its due date we may limit or pause the account until it is.
  • You can cancel any time by emailing support@blacktoppilot.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've paid for; we don't give partial refunds for unused time unless the law requires it.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; the new price applies from your next billing period after that.
  • Prices don't include taxes that may apply to you.

4. Your data stays yours

Everything your company puts into Blacktop — loads, rates, invoices, documents, expenses, driver records, logs and locations — belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Blacktop for you, keep it secure, and support you. We don't sell it. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how it's handled. You can export your reports and documents at any time, and ask us to delete your account.

You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload — including rate confirmations, bills of lading and information about your drivers — and for telling your drivers that Blacktop records the locations their phones share during trips.

5. Your responsibilities on the road and in the office

  • Hours of service. The digital paper log follows the federal hours-of-service rules (49 CFR Part 395) as we understand them, but the driver and carrier remain responsible for accurate logs and for complying with the law. The Logbook is for trucks that are exempt from the ELD rule; it is not a registered ELD.
  • Numbers. Profit, true rate per mile, IFTA figures, settlements and reports are calculated from what you enter. Check them before you file taxes, pay drivers or make decisions. Blacktop is not tax, legal or accounting advice.
  • AI features. Rate-confirmation reading and the Lug Nut assistant use artificial intelligence and can be wrong. Nothing is saved from them until you review and confirm it.
  • Emails you send. Invoices, packets and logs you send through Blacktop go out under your company name; you're responsible for who you send them to and what they say.

6. Things you can't do

  • Use Blacktop for anything illegal, to falsify logs, invoices or paperwork, or to send spam.
  • Try to get into another carrier's data, break or overload the service, or get around its security.
  • Copy, resell or reverse-engineer Blacktop, or use it to build a competing product.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

7. Connections to other services

Blacktop can connect to services you choose, such as Samsara or Motive ELDs, your factoring company, and Wave for billing. Those services have their own terms, and we aren't responsible for them. Third-party content like FMCSA records is provided as-is.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep Blacktop running and your data backed up, but we can't promise it will never be down, slow or have bugs. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose — signed BOLs, settlement statements and the like. We may update these terms; if a change is significant we'll email the account owner before it takes effect. Using Blacktop after that means you accept the new terms.

9. Warranty disclaimer and limit of liability

Blacktop is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law requires. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sea Level Lifestyle LLC isn't liable for lost profits, lost loads, fines, penalties, or indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for Blacktop in the 3 months before the claim.

10. Ending the agreement

You can stop using Blacktop and cancel at any time. We can end these terms or close an account with notice for non-payment or a serious breach. After an account closes we keep your data for 90 days so you can ask for an export, then delete it, except where we must keep records by law (such as billing records).

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving Santa Rosa County, Florida. Before going to court, contact us — most problems get fixed with a phone call.
